Release Manager

The Release Manager will act as the technical project manager for SAVO’s products, coordinating and communicating all of the activities in the software development lifecycle. Key interactions are with management on the Product Management, Product Development, Product Support, and Technical Operations teams. This person will be the facilitator that ensures the on-time, on-scope, on-budget delivery of our SaaS based service.

 

 

Responsibilities

§ Act as project manager, responsible for the coordination of all activities related to SAVO’s product releases.

§ Maintain all release project plans, including activities, resources, and timelines.

§ Motivate team members to ensure the prompt delivery of accurate information as per release plan.

§ Maintain an issues list, flag and coordinate resolution of issues that affect the release plan.

§ Act as the “release expert� within the company.

§ Be the point person for any release related issues, problems or questions that arise within or across teams.

§ Adapt release plans based on changes in business, customer, timeline or other needs.

§ Lead release planning activities.

 

 

Qualifications

§ Experience with the web software development lifecycle

§ Ability to communicate well verbally, in email, IM, etc.

§ Must act well in situations of conflict with eye towards resolution

§ Must be comfortable in a technical web environment

§ Ability to plan 2 releases ahead

§ Ability to see simplicity through in a complex environment

§ Attention to detail

§ Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams

§ Ability to work with senior management

§ SaaS SDLC experience

§ 6-9 years of experience

§ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field
