Release Engineer - Microsoft/C++/C#
Take responsibility for creating and maintaining the application builds for AIR’s application suite. Become a member of AIR’s growing Software Research and Development team. Develop commercial grade applications for web and desktop applications .
We continue to maintain and enhance our existing applications in C++ and we are re-architecting our existing desktop applications utilizing .NET. We are looking for an individual with experience as a Release Engineer to make sure that our development process is moving as quickly as possible. The individual will be a key contributor to the growth of the company’s product suite.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Create/Maintain/Monitor/Run daily build scripts for all AIR products.
· Interface daily between Development and SQA to make sure daily Build/SQA runs.
· Correct problems with the daily process.
· Expand the daily builds to include running code coverage analysis tools .
· Conduct code reviews on all AIR products.
· Implement build automation / create scripts and execute build tests.
· Create and maintain release documentation for all AIR products
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Strong understanding of daily build/SQA processes.
· Must have a Release Engineering background.
· Must have technical skills in scripting and application configuration.
· Knowledge of C++/.NET.
· Knowledge of daily build tools (MS Build or Final Builder).
· Knowledge of software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems. (VSS and TFS)
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
· B.S. in CS.
· 4 Years experience as a Release Engineer working for a commercial software company working on a team of at least 2 Build Engineers.
· 2 Years experience with C++ or .NET.
