Title: Rapid Response Technical Liaison Location: Lake Oswego, OR Job Description: The Autodesk MSD/Inventor Product Team creates software products that are used by customers world-wide. These products are sold into three distinct geographic regions by sales teams with unique organizations. Additionally, Autodesk derives revenue from a world-wide Consulting Services organization and support organization which supplies product consulting and support respectively. The role of the Rapid Response Technical Liaison is to help the Autodesk Consulting, Support and GEO Account Management/Sales teams channel prioritized issues into the product development organization. Position Summary This position is the liaison between: customers, GEO Account Management, Autodesk Product Support, consulting and product development resulting in the identification, escalation, and resolution of key technical application issues (outside of the routine quality control process). Position Responsibilities Assist GEO Account Management teams with the identification, verification, and prioritization of customer issues Participate in weekly issue review with Autodesk Support Services on behalf of Manufacturing Solutions Division Engineering organization to ensure acceptance of appropriately nominated global issues Assist Engineering teams with all out-bound communications Effectively communicate issue status to management via regular updates to internally circulated spreadsheets and other data sharing schemes including internal web sites Coordinate Rapid Response activities with those of GEO Account Management teams Assist in reproducing the issues for further clarification for the development organization for assessment. Assist in the efficient resolution of all escalated customer issues by the Engineering Team Travel to customer sites in various geographic regions on as need basis Position Requirements 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 5+ years application engineering or quality analysis engineering experience Knowledge of Mechanical Design and Manufacturing concepts Knowledge of the global Mechanical CAD market space Knowledge of software development processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skill: Knowledge of Autodesk product offerings within the Mechanical CAD marketplace Knowledge of major account assessment and opportunity analysis Personal Skills: Good organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous simultaneous tasks. Proactive personality with a proven track record of delivering on responsibilities independently. Very comfortable with technical material and demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts to a technically astute audience that may be unfamiliar with the specific area.
