POSITION:

Farheap Solutions is a technology based company with successful business operations in Internet technologies, printing, and graphic design. Due to continuous growth and projected expansion, our software development business unit, OpenSOFT, needs to expand capacity to meet demand. We are seeking a smart, motivated, and flexible Quality Assurance Manager, committed to excellence in software quality, to join and help build a world class QA organization.

Reporting to the General Manager of Opensoft, the QA Manager will be in charge of a distributed team of QA analysts and testers, and will be responsible for the quality management and software quality assurance processes for all software products and projects, including multi-tier enterprise class applications, e-commerce websites, and mission critical client-server tools. This involves directing the work of the QA staff in preparing QA plans, test plans and test cases; planning and developing automated QA procedures and tests, as well as executing these plans to ensure customer satisfaction.

The position will interact on a daily basis with the Software Development manager, the PMO manager, developers, business and system analysts, project managers, marketing and business development personnel and team members.

This is a very high profile, key role in the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

·  MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Computer Science or Engineering, equivalent experience may be considered. An advanced degree is highly desirable.

·  MUST have 8 years of stable, professional experience performing functional testing of complex web-based applications including writing test plans and test cases based on requirements and functional specifications, tracking defects, and providing feedback.

·  MUST have 3 years of experience in a QA Management position, with overall responsibility for the QA function, in a software development company or on a large software project.

·  MUST demonstrate very strong understanding of both SDLC (waterfall) and agile software development methodologies, and ability to create, document and implement efficient QA methodologies for functional, stress, performance and usability testing in client-server, web and database environments; knowledge of CMMI, RUP or other formal software development process management is a plus.

·  MUST be familiar and have hands-on experience with QA automation tools and platforms.

·  MUST have knowledge from hands on experience in test planning and execution, including regression testing, defect tracking and prioritization; any experience with test automation or automated defect tracking would be helpful.  Mentoring experience is a very strong plus.

·  MUST have experience and ability troubleshooting Windows-based and web-based applications, any Linux or Unix skills are a plus.

·  MUST have exceptional verbal and written English language skills, any second language skills (Spanish, German, Russian, other) are desirable.

·  MUST be a leader and a team player, able to work well with others or independently, as well as to lead a diverse and distributed team with the highest level of interpersonal and communications skills.

·  MUST have strong analytical and organizational skills and be able to prioritize issues and coordinate resolution, as well as the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

·  MUST have considerable PC operations and applications experience.

Farheap recognized a tremendous need for a better solution to manage documents and information within state and county courts. We developed an easy to use court case management software package that allows court clerks to keep up with proceedings in real time.

Along the way Farheap acquired a talented pool of designers and in 2004 decided to launch an externally facing design group. The success of our first design business lead to the formation of a second unit in 2006.
