Quality Assurance Engineer

Our customers study everything from motorcycle aerodynamics to luxury refrigerator performance long before any physical prototypes are built. Every product imaginable faces thermal or fluid/gas flow design challenges. That variety translates into a world of fun and never ending supply of challenge and experiences for BRN employees.

 

The quality assurance team is involved at all stages of software development. Working with product development and marketing teams, QA works towards ensuring that defined requirements solve problems identified by CFdesign users.

 

Join the team. Assume responsibility for test plans; automation scripts for regression testing; quality checks of version updates; and, supporting engineers on escalated technical cases – in a nutshell: the quality works!

 

The position is based in Charlottesville, and reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

 

Work requires



· 2 + years relevant experience required; engineering background and understanding of fluid flow and heat transfer preferred

· MCAD experience

· Engineering software simulation experience; CFdesign is a significant advantage

· Familiarity with the software development process

· Troubleshooting and diagnostic experience

· Customer support orientation; Superior teaming skills; Ability to manage competing priorities

· BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; MS preferred

· Software QA, or creation and debugging of automated test scripts exp a plus
