Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester

Duties And Responsibilities:• QA of business applications in an Oracle/SQL Sever/Client-Server and web-based environment. • Perform audit inspections and review project documentation at points throughout the development life cycle of a project to ensure all deliverables, processes, business rules, assumptions, and change requests are addressed. • Create and enhance test plans incorporating all modules and deliverables when new projects are requested. • Develop detailed test scripts encompassing all deliverables and modules identified in the test plan. • Assign and coordinate resources and testers to create an effective and efficient project test. • Train unit testers in QA practices, procedures, and techniques. • Maintain and monitor project rework logs to ensure identified issues are resolved prior to program launch. Lead the tracking, analysis and resolution of potential problems within client systems. • Research, evaluate, and implement Quality methodologies and tools. • Develop and maintain appropriate metrics to monitor Quality in the development process. • Create proper ISO documents when issues occur on programs moved to production. • Assists in further defining IT Quality process standards and recommended IT Quality Best Practices. • Monitor testing sign off points to ensure program/product is ready for launch. • Investigate, evaluate and recommend process improvements to system development deliverables and quality processes. • Work with IS Project Management to develop and maintain reasonable quotes and time line estimates. • Monitor quality benchmarks within Client Systems. • Become familiar with the various business practices in which Client Systems is involved. • Promote and encourage Quality throughout Client Systems. • Establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of persons and groups both inside and outside IS Client Systems.
