QA Testers (L/T Project)
QA Testers - locals onlyAs a member of a Test team for a multi-year development effort of a complex Clearance and Settlement application. This candidate will: • Formulate test scenarios based on analysis of Use Cases, and system and/or software requirements for many test types including Performance, Interface, Functional, Security, Database Integrity, Disaster Recovery and Business cycle Testing. • Review test plans and test scenarios and provide feedback. • Develop and maintain manual/automated test plans and test scripts. • Develop requirements for testing data. • Execute manual and automated test scripts as designed. • Identify, report and track errors and inconsistencies in the functionality and usability of the system using test software. • Work with development and business teams to create load, performance and negative testing scenarios. Professional Competencies/Skills/Attributes Required: • Must have a firm knowledge of the System Development Methodology, Software Quality Assurance methodology and the ability to understand technical concepts involved with more than one application for a release phase or one large complex application. • Must have experience working at CMMI Level 3. • Must have working experience in software modeling using UML and ER data modeling. • Past experience working in a Financial Sector is a plus. • Experience as development team member of a large-scale systems development is a plus. • Hands-on code development skills. Technical Requirements: • Must have advanced PL/SQL skills • Understanding of SDLC • Understanding of Object-Oriented technologies, development tools and methodologies • Working knowledge of the JAVA programming language. • This person must be proficient in: o Rational Requisite Pro o ClearQuest o CVS o Oracle/SQL o MS-Office • Must have strong working experience in Unix (including scripting) • Web development experience is a plus • Must have automated testing experience using IBM and/or HP products (formerly Mercury tools) • Hands-on testing experience using: HP QTP, LoadRunner and Quality Center/Test Director • Knowledge of HP Service Test - Plus • Experience testing Java based applications • Familiar with test scripting languages such as VBScript, Perl, Python and XML • Experience with technical as well as Business/Functional Testing • Programming experience and financial background - plus.
