QA Tester – Manual Testing 

12 month+ contract position available in the Tampa / Clearwater area!

 

**Candidates must have experience testing UNIX based applications**

 

The qualified candidate must have experience in manual testing, preferably GUI testing, and be able to identify and catalog test requirements, develop and execute manual test cases and record unexpected results. 

 

This team member will participate in formal and ad hoc system testing, regression testing, performance testing, and assists in developmental unit testing.

 

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills:

• 3+ years overall experience in software testing, preferably on UNIX based applications (C++/JAVA)

• 3+ years of White Box and Black Box testing of GUI and backend systems.

• Ability to use basic UNIX commands to access data.

• Experience in identifying and cataloging test requirements from business requirements

• Experience executing test cases and analyzing results

• Ability to identify, isolate and document system deficiencies in a clear, concise manner

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle

• Capacity to multi-task several testing activities concurrently

• Effective analytical and problem isolation skills

• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
