QA Software Engineer
QA Software Engineer
Seeking a mid-level QA engineer with 5 - 6 years experience. Come join a first class engineering team at an emerging startup company in the health care industry in Austin, TX!
We are looking for that rare individual that really loves doing QA. Though capable of being a product developer, our best candidate will prefer to use those skills in a QA context.Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain well-written test plans & reports.
• Perform manual testing according to test plans.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Analyze failures and report them in the bug tracking system.
• Work well both as part of a group and independently.Requirements:
• 5 - 6 years of software testing experience
• Experience with Test Automation Frameworks, including one or more GUI automation tools (e.g., Selenium, WATIR)
• Ability to troubleshoot automation failures and file good bug reports
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Shell, Ruby)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of Java and Java based web architecture
• Previous startup experience
• Experience in an Agile development life cycle.Pluses
• Experience with build automation tools such as Cruise Control or Hudson, et al.
• BA / BS in Computer Science or equivalent
