Title: QA – Automation Tester/ Analyst

 

Skills Required: Working Knowledge of Mercury Test Suite (specifically QTP), Windows XP/2K, Linux. Working Knowledge in scripting languages like VBScript.  Comfortable with SQL queries and database testing.

Nice to Have : Development background with C++

About Us: AllenPort is a 4-year-old software company developing a Virtual File Cabinet for consumers and small business.

 

Responsibilities:

· Plan and execute testing solutions for our software application and provide reports.

o  Develop and document test cases that map directly to functional parameters identified in specifications

o  Execute and document progress and status of each element in the manual testing effort

o  Execute and document progress and status of each element in the automated testing effort

§ GUI automated testing

· Write test scripts and build automated capability using common testing tools like Mercury

· Integrate the test cases with our automation tools

§ Module automated testing – create automated scripts in conjunction with developers to test module functionality.

§ Backend load testing – Work with our Data Center manager using Load Runner or comparable software to determine capabilities v. demand.

o  Perform database testing using SQL queries

 

Requirements:

Experience in software testing.

Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative and work independently, but also able to work collaboratively.

Must be a good team player and be able to communicate well (orally and in writing) with development engineers and management. The ability to succinctly convey an idea verbally or in writing is mandatory in this position.

Must be a top performer, committed to excellence, able to meet deadlines and deliver on time.
