Public Service - Data Center Migration Network Specialist
Description Organization - Public Service Location - Rosslyn, VA The Public Service operating group serves government organizations around the globe, as well as foundations, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and non-profit enterprises. Accenture's Services workforce is a dedicated team of people who work on outsourcing engagements. These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR. We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition. Job Description: The Network Specialist coordinates the build and configuration of the network infrastructure (LAN and WAN). This includes working with the client as well as the network providers to provide adequate connectivity to the data center. Key Responsibilities: Determine gaps and business impact of hosting provider's managed services and provide mitigating plans for any identified risks. Understand the key performance metrics and SLAs for the client system to minimize impact of the system for migration planning. Coordinate and integrate migration planning activities with the Prototyping, Operations, Infrastructure Engineering teams, and other Government stakeholders. Work with the client, project and Provider(s) to design and implement the Hosting solution, focusing specifically on network impacts to the overall system. Support working with architecture team to understand impact of network decisions to proposed changes prior to migration. Gather and finalize network requirements. Understand the significance of the mission-critical systems to assess and communicate the impact and issues of migrating this system. Provide technical and cost impact assessments of viable interim hosting options if needed. Assist driving the current production infrastructure to a more robust structure. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 5 years of Operations and Network experience. Bachelor's degree or 4 years of Operations and Network experience in lieu of a degree. 5 years LAN/WAN experience Cisco Certification Preferred Skills/Experience: MSOffice/MSProject Understanding of EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS Cisco equipment To submit resume online Click Here This role requires U.S. Citizenship due to client clearance requirements.
