The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker with a strong background in designing interfaces based on usability principles and interaction best practices. This role will work closely with product managers and software development teams to understand user needs and design interfaces for our products. As a member of our User Experience group, this designer will interact with cross-functional product teams and help us add user-centered design practices to our software development philosophy. Responsibilities will include:• Helping to define user models and user interfaces for software products.• Developing conceptual and detailed mockups, prototypes, and interface specifications to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. • Coaching the development teams in the execution of effective interface design. • Acting as a liaison between marketing and development for product branding requirements. • Helping to gauge the usability of existing products and making constructive recommendations for change.Required ExperienceQualifications: • At least five years of professional user interface/interaction design experience. • Solid academic background in human-computer interaction, interface design, or related field. • Degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, or related program a plus. • Proven track record for innovative user interface design. • Strong prototyping skills and good working knowledge of associated tools. • Excellent communication skills across all levels of development.Submitting a resume online at a job site could cause valuable screening information to be missed.Please apply directly at: http://hostedjobs.openhire.com/epostings/jobs/submit.cfm?fuseaction=dspjob&jobid=189776&company_id=15973&jobboardid=24 We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
