We are seeking an experienced Programming Writer for our Technology team in our corporate headquarters located in McLean, VA! Job Description This role will work with a group of experienced writers who work to create documentation, which includes print manuals, online-help systems, and software development kits (SDKs), to help customers learn about MicroStrategy’s products and develop advanced business intelligence applications.  The position requires a technically adept person with strong writing skills who can join the team to create SDK content for IT professionals. Job Responsibilities Â· Work closely with program managers and developers on the SDK team to plan and outline topics, and then produce content· Pass content through the editorial and review processes· Troubleshoot content and sample code problems· Develop, recommend, implement, and adhere to documentation standards Job Requirements Â· Ability to program in one or more of the following languages: C++, Java, .NET· Strong writing skills· Minimum 2-3 years experience writing for a developer audience· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact frequently with program managers, developers, quality engineers, and other writers· Ability to learn new technologies quickly· Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field is preferred· Previous experience writing SDK, conceptual, or white paper content is strongly preferred· Experience with Web application development is a plus· Passionate about technology and quality documentation   MicroStrategy has over 1800 employees worldwide and our corporate headquarters is in McLean, Virginia, a high-tech suburb of Washington, D.C.
