Responsibilities include: Object-Oriented and database coding Unit Testing Integration System Testing Product Test support (debug, defect correction, etc.) Deployment support MaintenanceThis position works with business representatives, analysts and team members to utilize the UPS processes and requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.  The primary goal of the Sr. Programmer is to work on projects of low to moderate complexity translating requirements to program specifications.  The Sr. Programmer writes program specifications of moderate to high complexity from high-level specifications.  They write programs of low to high complexity matching detailed specifications.  Sr. Programmers develop, execute and analyze processes test plans for complete function processes within system support application systems.Knowledge and Skills:Must be able to demonstrate: Experience with the full software development life cycle (analysis through implementation, post-deployment maintenance and support) Understanding of practices and principles of OOA/OOP and relational databases 3+ years experience developing database applications in C++ or C# Professional experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional experience developing stored procedures, functions, and queries in T-SQL on SQL Server 2000 platform Professional experience using XML/XSL Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexibility, team orientation, self-starting, goal-focused Ability to work with moderate supervision in a process-driven environment Ability to follow a formal project plan.Education:Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 1, typically 2-4+ years experience in systems analysis and application program development, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience? 1-3 years programming experience No relatives who work for UPS or any of its Subsidiaries U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employerOTHER CRITERIA:Employer will not sponsor visas for position.UPS is an Equal Opportunity Employer
