Programmer Analyst - Temporary (12 months)

Responsible for all programming aspects for small to moderately complex subsystems including analysis

Codes, maintains, tests and debugs all programs for the concerned subsystems

Writes all technical documentation related to their programs

With minimal supervision responsible to create all the metrics needed for the Data Warehouse reporting

Generates new and maintains existing data model architecture using MicroStrategy Architect and Agent i.e.: aggregate tables structures etc.

Troubleshoots all the reports and their related business process

Provides all necessary technical/support information to the business systems support analysts about the systems they’ve created

Interviews users, with the assistance of the immediate superior, during system analysis and design

Assists in the education and development of less experienced IS personnel

Occasionally participates in “on-call” application support



Requirements:

College or University degree in computer science or equivalent

Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years pertinent work experience; retail environment is an asset

Knowledge of the following software: UNIX, Oracle Developer 2000 (Forms & Reports) & Oracle Developer 6i,

Languages – SQL, PL/SQL and Visual Basic/Pro*C, Micro Strategy Agent, Architect and Web Java, HTML and XML would be an asset

Bilingual in both official languages (oral and written)
