Programmer/Analyst

CGI Federal, a wholly owned subsidiary of CGI, has a full-time opening for a Programmer/Analyst in Cleveland, OH. Located in our downtown office, this role will support the Healthcare Payer business unit and will be responsible for maintaining existing IBM mainframe applications in COBOL, which will consist of approximately 30% of his/her time, and the remaining time will be used to develop .NET applications or perform SQL queries into data for Client inquiries. Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining two client application on the IBM mainframe, as well as supporting .NET applications or performing varied database activities. Database activities may involve writing stored procedures, data inquiries and importing/exporting data. To qualify for this position, applicants must have a majority of the following qualifications: several years of mainframe COBOL programming experience; competencies using TSO, VSAM and Endevor or ChangeMan; minimimum of two years CICS development; and one year of experience developing on .NET platform using C# or SQL language; knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 or 2010 would be a plus; willingness to learn new technologies and computer languages; familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and healthcare data elements; a bachelor degree is preferred.
