Production Designer
Production DesignerDescription: Client is looking for a production designer who will be responsible for fulfilling orders submitted on websites. This may require frequent interaction and follow-up with the customer and our printer to ensure that all orders are properly fulfilled. The production designer must also identify and drive process improvements within the production group. S/he will act as the "voice of the printer" and recommend fulfillment process improvements, site usability and policy improvements that will help further build customer loyalty and retention1 + year experience in purchasing or customer service environment (phone and email) a major plus. 2. Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop as well as digital photo editing experience. 3. Experience in a retail company or order processing (stationery, baby or gifts) a plus. 4. Experience with online shopping, regular web usage and a Windows based PC a must, and experience in an e-commerce company a plus. Requirements: Specific Responsibilities: 1. Typeset custom text on Adobe Illustrator templates, proofing and approving for printing. 2. Digital photo editing - such as red eye reduction, cropping, enhancing, contrast and stamping. 3. Interact daily with customers and printer to ensure customer and company needs are met according to our level of service standards. 4. Contribute to and drive process improvements within the order production group. 5. Respond and resolve inbound customer service inquires and issues related to design and prepress production via telephone and email. 6. Be a team player in small, less than 30-person start-up company and be willing to pitch in when needed and always go the extra mile. 7. College level education a plus but not necessary. We're basically looking for someone who is super organized, efficient, has great attention to detail, is smart and quick on his/her feet with a sense of humor. 8.
