Production Artist - QuarkXpress/PhotoshopDescription: Volt Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting for a Production Artist to join one of the area's leading employers.Job Summary:Designs and produces Professional packaging, labels, instructions, studies inserts, and other related materials.Will communicate with other departments related to graphics and art projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not limited to:)--Produces professional labels, kits and instructions, new and revised --Maintains reference binder with up-to-date professional label samples --Reviews and routes reorders --Maintains log of family colors for Art Department --Maintain professional kit files. --Host for the label printer downloads from email and the contact person for the label printers and any questions pertaining to art. --Lead artist for Professional product research studies. --Works directly with planners to expedite new and revised Professional kit and labels jobs --Responsible for quality control checks of Professional Packaging. --Adheres to all ISO 9001 work instructions per Desk Instruction Manual Requirements: --Associate degree in a related field. --Must have a excellent knowledge of graphic development and design. --Good printing knowledge. --Excellent computer software knowledge (QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Photoshop, Filemaker Pro and AS400). --Working knowledge of office machines. --Excellent communication and organizational skills to maintain effective working relationships with various departments. --Must be flexible, multi-tasked and be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. --Ability to interact favorably with co-workers. --Ability to work with minimal supervision --Must be self-motivated with problem solving skills.
