POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Blackbird Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Product Specialist to manage the resolution of both internal and external customer technical inquiries.  This position will be based out of our Herndon, VA corporate office. Working with our Product Manager, this individual will be the first line response for the technical support aspect of our tagging, tracking and locating products.  The Product Specialist will become an integral part of an exciting, dynamic, and growing organization. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Identify, research, and resolve technical problems

· Manage part inventory

· Prepare product demonstrations

· Manage and respond to incoming calls, emails and web requests for technical support

· Utilize tracking system to monitor parts and to document technical issues

· Establish line of communication with customers regarding specific issues

· Keep constant communications with the Product Manager on status of issues

· Develop and foster a positive and productive relationship with both new and existing customers (internal and external)

 

We are looking for a self-starter who can manage complexity and drive to success. 

The hours for this position will eventually vary to accommodate multiple team members and longer daily support.  Occasional weekend phone support will be required. 

 

Required Skills/Education:

· 3+ years experience in a product support/technical support role

· Recent Special Operations experience

· Strong command of MS Office

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Must be detail-oriented and be able to effectively prioritize, organize and multi-task in a fast-moving environment

· Must possess the ability to comfortably interact and build good relationships with key work partners at all levels

· Must be technically savvy with the ability to learn quickly

· Must be a team player who can work independently with a passion for excellence and results.

· Must be able to work, coordinate, and communicate with local and remote teams.

· Must be effective in meeting deadlines and working under pressure

 

Desired Skills/Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, EE or related discipline
