Product Manager, XF Platform

The Product Manager, XF Platform (PM) will be responsible for the full spectrum of product management responsibilities for two aspects of Gomez’s monitoring solutions; The strategy and execution of expansion of the monitoring locations that power all aspects of the Experience First network, and Gomez Business Pulse XF℠, a dashboard that arms business and IT managers with actionable insight into the impact of web performance on online business health. The PM is ultimately responsible for all success criteria of these components of the Platform. Additional roles are expected to be added as the PM succeeds in these areas . Because the products are Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings that focus on the technical and business values of web application experience management a solid background in application performance management processes and the SaaS business model will greatly help the PM. The PM will work closely with every department at Gomez, including legal, finance, local and international sales, marketing, operations, development, and support, and as such will need to be well-organized, self-motivated, and efficient with his or her use of time. A background in the fundamental technologies of these products, and familiarity or past experience with Gomez’ offerings, is considered a huge plus.

Responsibilities

· Defines vision and strategy for growing the Active Backbone and Active Last Mile networks

· Defines vision, strategy and creates specifications and roadmap for forward development for Business Pulse XF enabling.

· Works directly with sales, marketing, and customers to identify requirements.

· Communicates and coordinates with department heads and product stakeholders on needed, especially during product launches and other “all hands on deck� situations.

· Works with the Marketing and Development staff in project planning and task prioritization.

· Takes part in customer and prospect communication, such as sales calls, to assist with sales as well as learn firsthand how the market is reacting.

· Speaks at conferences and trade shows, evangelizing Gomez’s solutions, technology and keeping up with cutting edge Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) advances.

· Develops marketing and sales materials, such as white papers, sales guidelines, and competitive analysis for use internally and externally.

· Provides pricing recommendations of Business pulse based on competitive overview, market conditions, and other factors to senior management team.

· Provides schedule and project management of several independent development teams.

· Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Ability to project the “Voice of the Customer� with QA-related solutions (load testing, functional testing, etc) regarding web based applications.

· Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams to accomplish goals.

· Sound problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills

· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex business and product requirements analysis and then translate them into application specifications

· Knowledge of and/or experience in Web Application Requirements writing and Product Lifecycle Management

· 8+ years of relevant experience
