SIMULIA, the Dassault Systèmes brand for Realistic Simulation, has an immediate opening for a Product Manager focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) products based at the Providence, Rhode Island headquarters. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to leverage both a technical and analytical background in a challenging leadership position.Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager is responsible for product planning that ensures product releases align with high level business strategies, and for partnering with the Product Development organization to ensure product features meet customer requirements. This position offers significant visibility across the organization and provides the opportunity to work closely with senior management to formulate high level product strategies which support achievement of established revenue objectives. Specific responsibilities include:Execute day-to-day product management activities which includes: respond to queries by local SIMULIA offices, as well as customers; work closely with Product Development organization as customer representative for key development projects and to ensure development and product release schedules are met; carry out reviews of competitive products; and deal effectively with various unforeseen issues that arise.Work closely with senior management to formulate high level product strategy and subsequently transform that strategy into product release plans. Includes evaluation and prioritization of numerous product enhancement requests.Collaborate with the Industry Solutions group to ensure products are appropriately addressing targeted solutions, and with the Alliances group to ensure products are meeting the needs of partners.Collaborate with the Marketing Communications group to identify and produce marketing collateral, including product demonstrations, technical papers, magazine articles, brochures, data sheets, and other materials.Regularly assess the business potential of numerous product enhancement options.Maintain accurate assessments of competitors’ products. Establish close relationships with customers to maintain awareness of customers' needs and perspectives.REQUIREMENTS:A minimum of a Masters degree in engineering, with a concentration in either mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering with a concentration in fluid mechanics or numerical methods is required. In addition, must have at least 10 years of combined work experience with commercial CFD software such as ANSYS/FLUENT, CD-adapco/STAR-CD or Flowmerics/FLOTHERM in various roles such as consulting, development, and/or direct industrial application. Must possess excellent interpersonal, and communications skills. Must be comfortable presenting to both internal and external groups. Excellent planning, project management, and organizational skills, along with ability to work well under tight deadlines, are all requirements.
