Product Analyst

Our customers rely on NAVTEQ digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.  Product Analyst Summary- The Product Analyst will participate in the research, development and launch of new product offers to increase market share and grow revenue contribution to the Dynamic Content Portfolio- The Product Analyst will assist in the research market trends, new technologies, new lines of business, competitive offers and provide input to Product Management, R&D, and Customer Marketing for financial feasibility, operational impact and overall launch of new product lines and feature requests. - Must contribute to the development of a product evolution timeline and new product introductions, lifecycle improvements as well as service enhancements. - Must have the ability to evaluate competitive offers and create technical and financial reports to position the NAVTEQ Dynamic Content product portfolio as a market leader. Analyzes industry trends and contributes to the overall product strategy, including the feature enhancement and roadmap development- Will assist in the successful attainment of Product profitability, pricing coordination, promotion and positioning coordination with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with different parts of the organization such as Business Development, Business Affairs, Product Management, PMO, etc. Job ResponsibilitiesIndustry Analysis: - Understand the needs of the B2B and B2B2C Customers- Understand competitive landscape and service provider offers- Research new products, lines of business or feature enhancements that differentiate the NAVTEQ Dynamic Content product- Create reports for profitability of product enhancements in conjunction with business planning- Examine opportunities that have potential to leverage corporate assets across all business unitsResearch:- Participate in cross functional working sessions to generate new ideas and fine-tune analysis taking into consideration the operational impacts and departmental assumptionsExecution:- Design concise product definition that is understood by cross functional groups- Development of attractive and profitable services- Must have the ability to develop and provide input to PRD/MRD’s Requirements- A Bachelor’s degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required- 2 or more years of Analyst experience in which one or more of the following has occurred:demonstrated competency in marketing or technical analysis, demonstrated experience in product evolution or marketing and technology planning - Experience planning & preparing detailed financial analysis based on product lifecycle and P&L analysis- Familiarity with location based services, telecommunications industry and/or IT industry is helpful- Strong initiative, coupled with logical/proactive thinking- Detail oriented professional, with the ability to perform and execute in a creative and fast paced environment- Solid knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle NAVTEQ is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V     JOB TITLE: Product Analyst COMPANY: NAVTEQ LOCATION: Chicago, IL 60606 STATUS: Full Time, Employee JOB CATEGORY: Marketing/Product CAREER LEVEL: Experienced (Non-Manager) EMAIL: Apply by Email REFERENCE CODE: 11459
