Principal Systems Engineer
Job Summary:
The Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation and capacity planning of the systems, storage, disaster recovery and operational management infrastructure supporting all technology solutions and business lines. Working in conjunction with the Software and Performance Engineering teams the Principal SE will develop and implement solutions to solve business needs.
Essential Functions:Lead engineer for systems infrastructure across a wide array of technologies (Server, Storage, Desktop & Management ) Act as technical project team leader for both infrastructure and business driven projects Provide and/or approve project plan task detail and estimates Collaborate with Project Management on planning and project tracking activities Collaborate with Software Engineering and Performance Engineering on design activities Assist in project budget planning and review Research new technologies and solutions Provide 3rd tier support for infrastructure technologies
Qualifications:Bachelors Degree required. 15+ years IT experience with 10+ years proven ability and experience in developing and managing systems infrastructure solutions. HP hardware, including Blade systems & HP EVA storage systems experience. EMC DMX, SRDF and related software experience. Experience deploying enterprise applications such as Exchange, Active Directory.
