Performance Engineer (C++)

Overview:We are currently seeking driven and talented Performance Engineers who thrive on pushing the limits of technology to produce state of the art trading systems.  Performance Engineering at TT is a crucial part to TT’s success within the financial industry which makes it an extremely exciting and fast past environment to work where the focus is on every product we make and not just one.  As a Performance Engineer at TT you will be responsible for bringing out and finding performance related bottlenecks for all of our software as well as using and creating the necessary tools to complete the task at hand. Responsibilities:·  Evaluates and tests new or modified software products and documentation prior to release.·  Benchmark, optimize and trend the performance of TT's gateway server products while using commercial and in-house tools to track server response in various load conditions. ·  Optimize existing and create new in-house performance tools, design performance tests, execute tests, analyzing results, flag issues and recommending solutions.·  Utilize performance analysis methodologies such as time-based profiling, volume and stress testing.  Requirements:·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.·  3+ years experience as a Performance Engineer using enterprise software products.·  3+ years experience with automated performance and functional simulation tools (LoadRunner, WinRunner, and SilkTest).·  Working knowledge of C++, Ruby, PHP, AutoIT and SQL is a plus.·  Knowledge of TCP/IP, PGM and UDP is a plus.·  Understanding of the basic hardware components of a system and using tools to monitor them is a plus.·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.·  Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. TT is committed to providing an environment where highly talented, challenge-hungry people thrive.
