PeopleSoft Database Administrator Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Oracle Database/PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) administrator to join our PeopleSoft team working in our new, state-of-art, IBM and Dell computing environment. The employee will be part of a Financial Applications team that is responsible for IT service delivery to our customer, Adventist HealthCare. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years technical experience as Database Administrator with Oracle Enterprise RDBMS products, at release 10 or higher, such as Database Server, RMAN, TNS, and PL/SQL, installing, patching, tuning and supporting them in a Unix environment. Also must have experience in writing Unix shell scripts and creating and maintaining PeopleSoft databases. • Minimum of 3 years experience as PIA administrator, installing, patching, maintaining and supporting PeopleSoft release 8.x Financial, Portal and HR applications. Must have experience with Change Assistant. • Participation in at least one PeopleSoft 8.x upgrade project. • In depth understanding and demonstrable working knowledge of ITIL standard operations and change control procedures • The ability to troubleshoot Oracle database and PIA incidents, identify the root cause and take corrective action. • At least 5 years experience in SQL query optimization, including familiarity with the Oracle 10g Tuning Advisor. • Fluency in the English language and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate thoughts in written and oral communications. • Experience supporting a 24X7 operational environment.• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. We do not offer H1B sponsorships.Preferences• Oracle 10g Professional Certification • Experience in IBM AIX 5.x environment • Experience in PeopleTools 8.48 environment • A four year degree in IT or other business related field of study. We would be willing to offer relocation expenses.
