PROJECT MANAGER, GIS

In this capacity you will:

 

• Use leading-edge spatial data management technology to support transportation

  planning, asset management, and transportation information system management
• Help clients translate and implement real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art,

  GIS technology-driven solutions using company’s enterprise GIS technology
• Lead project teams during requirements, analysis, design, build, and rollout
• Create and manage the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through the

  application of planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk

  management
• Manage project performance, subcontractors, and client relationships/expectations
• Work with marketing and sales teams to develop new business

 

The position requires a Bachelor degree in Transportation Engineering, GIS, Computer Science, Planning, or related field, depending upon position level; proven experience in leading software development projects, commensurate with position level; and excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills.

 

You will also need to bring your understanding of the range of GIS and information management software products, from desktop to server applications and development tools; understanding of data types used in a variety of transportation software applications; familiarity with work order management systems and fleet optimization; knowledge of GIS-T applications, LTL logistics, and P&D routing; and familiarity with DOT, DMV, and MPO, and transit business practices and business needs.
