PMP Certified Project Manager (Software Development/Secure Systems Integration Project)

OST, Inc, a growing and dynamic consulting company, is seeking a PMP certified Project Manager, to lead a secure systems integration project for a large federal client in Washington, DC. The Project Manager will be located in OST’s DC headquarters (near Dupont Circle Metro off the Red Line).  However, client site travel near the Federal Center SW Metro (off the Blue/Orange Line) will be required. Candidates must be clearable (i.e. US Citizens or Green Card Holders) to undergo a federal background investigation with our client.

Work to be performed includes:

· Coordination, Planning, Scheduling and Oversight of all project activities

· Lead/manage team providing management, systems development, operations, and support to a major federal client

· Ensure project goals are met within the established timeframe, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction standards

· Establish and implement the appropriate set of best practices ensuring the integrity and quality of all deliverables and services

· Represent program interests and prepare supporting documentation as required for successful integration with evolving organization initiatives

· Integrate stakeholders' participation and their feedback into the project plan

· Proactive negotiation, mitigation, and resolution of project changes and conflict

· Monitor and report on project risks and ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place

· Coordinate project activities across all concerned administrative units, external suppliers and other related project(s)

· Ensure timely preparation, delivery and accuracy of client invoices

· Lead certain areas of the SDLC

· Lead or author project documentation

· Actively lead project lessons learned meetings

· Ensure work products produced on the project follow the project naming convention and are properly maintained under the project configuration management system

· Management of multiple concurrent tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required.

· Execution of CMMI process areas for continuous improvement

· Participate and contribute to focus group(s) initiatives 

Must Have Qualifications Include:

· Master’s  degree in a technical or management field

· 10+ years project management experience

· Strong team building skills

· Strong MS Project and Scheduling skills

· Understanding and application of SDLC, and project management best practices.

· Current PMP

· Ability to present and interact with client

· Experience interfacing with government clients

· Very strong communications (written and verbal) skills

· Highly organized, Energetic, Creative, Passionate, Works well with others

Preferable Skills Include:

· Federal/Federal Client experience

· Understanding of and experience with CMMI Level 3 processes

· Migration project experience
