Job Title: Perl Programmer
Client: A civilian Government and Defense solutions provider protecting their clients’ important data, streamlining their communications, and increasing their workforce productivity, while saving operations costs and taxpayers' dollars. Headquartered in Fairfax, VA with 2000 employees and $150 million in revenue.
End client: US Courts
Location: Washington, DC
Work Status: Permanent Resident
Logistics: 5 day work week.
Project Status: Contract to Hire
Length of Contract: 6 months
Project Description:
· The chosen candidate will assist our client in the Development of a comprehensive case management system. The work involves large Perl/Java projects and the PERL Programmer must be able to independently work from written functional requirements and translate those requirements into working components of an automated system. Candidates must have excellent analytical, verbal, written and presentation skills. This position is located close to Union Station for easy commuting.
Required:
· BS or BA Degree, Computer Science preferred.
· 2+ years working in large environments.
· 2+ years of PERL experience.
· HTML experience.
· JavaScript experience.
· SQL expertise.
· Experience performing development on a UNIX or Linux environment.
Preferred:
· Knowledge of Informix or DB2 relational databases.
· Experience working with Java Swing, JDBC, Java Servlets, and JSP on a UNIX or Linux environment.
