Oracle Financial Technical / Functional

We are now seeking experienced Oracle Financial Developer Professionals with at least 2 years of proven experience in implementing or supporting Oracle Financial applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Oracle person who seeks personal challenges and professional rewards. Candidates for this position should be local to the Virginia Beach area and should have experience in: Writing and Modifying Oracle Reports, Workflow development, PL/SQL programming, Oracle application extensions and Discoverer/EUL reporting.

Requirements for this opportunity

* APG provides services to the US Federal Government which requires that our consultants have US citizenship either by birth or naturalization, applicants for this position must be able to meet this criterion.
* Candidates selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for security clearance at all levels.
* Candidates must have two years plus industry experience in developing for, implementing and supporting Oracle Financial applications.
* Candidate should have experience in all phases of the software development life cycle: requirements, design, development, testing, and delivery.
* Understanding of Oracle*s Application database architecture.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team, yet work independently on complex problems.

Responsibilities of this opportunity encompass the following:

* Developing a rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships.
* Instrumental in developing a project scope and project plans and providing updates throughout the project.
* Actively participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, to include:
o AIM or other software development documentation and processes
o Developing solution designs
o Creating prototypes
o Creating production builds
o Supporting User Testing
o Deployment planning and support
o Post production support
* Developing custom programs, reports and forms that interface and conversions with the Oracle Financial Applications in order to provide an integrated information system solution to meet the business needs.
* Responsible for developing and adhering to engagement team project standards to ensure the delivery of quality client deliverables.
* Work with Oracle support services to resolve customer open issues.
* Provide configuration management support to DBA staff for developed software.
* Train and prepare client technical staff in Oracle Application programming and development.
* Assist, coach, and mentor other engagement team members on implementation of solutions.
