Oracle Financial Analyzer (OFA); Hyperion Planning, Essbase; Cognos

· Must have 3+ years experience in financial Planning applications (Contributor and/or Analyst)

· Must be able to work independently to develop Planning application support and develop reports

· 3-5 years of responsibility supporting business applications with direct customer contact

· Business knowledge of finance and/ or accounting functions is strong plus

· Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills with technical problems of medium-to-high complexity

· Knowledge of quality assurance and testing procedures, processes and techniques employed across various business and technical application platforms and environments a plus

· Working knowledge of multi-dimensional concepts and databases

· Effective oral and written communication skills

· Ability to collect information to ascertain the root cause of a complex issue and make timely decisions when recommending corrective action

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments of moderate and high complexity, working tenaciously to meet or beat deadlines

· A degree in Computer Information Systems or finance, related field or equivalent work experience

· Following skills a plus:

o  Exposure to reporting tools such as Oracle Discoverer, Oracle BI (OBIEE), COGNOS, or Business Objects

Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for managing Oracle Financial Analyzer in order to ensure data integrity in support of internal and external reporting.

 

You will play a leadership role in the development and implementation of solutions leveraging Oracle systems. While maintaining a focus on quality deliverables, you must be able to effectively manage project tasks, participate in project analysis, prepare/deliver presentations and training, and provide guidance and direction to business users.

You will be expected to build and maintain positive relationships with key business users and exhibit a solid understanding of basic business concepts and practices.

 

Skills & experience required:

-  Business knowledge of finance and/ or accounting functions is required.

-  Thorough understanding of OFA (Oracle Financial Analyzer) including development and maintenance of complex allocation models and database management is strong plus.

-Presentation and training skills required.

 

The following would all be a plus:

-  Exposure to reporting tools such as Oracle Discoverer, Oracle BI, Cognos BI or Business Objects.

-  Exposure to budgeting and forecasting tools such as Oracle Hyperion, Cognos Planning or Clarity.
