Oracle ERP Applications Manager
GPS Manufacturer/Distributor Manage one of Garmin's Oracle ERP applications teams to provide needs analysis, documentation, software development system testing, and maintenance and ensure the functionality and integrity of Garmin Oracle ERP and related systems. Assure appropriate software systems quality control and documentation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyze business requirements and design of Oracle ERP and related systems to meet those business requirements Manage a team of application resources to implement stable, scalable and secure applications Apply formal Systems Development Life Cycle process to assure functionality, security, quality and regulatory compliance of deployed systems Develop and maintain Garmin's Oracle ERP system to provide secure, efficient, and consistent employee access to company data Work with IT staff to ensure Oracle ERP systems comply with existing infrastructure requirements and integrate with security systems, network infrastructure, and other business systems Monitor and expand ERP and related software systems as needed to assure adequate security, performance and capacity Establish system support mechanisms to assure Global Oracle ERP and related systems are available as required Coordinate Global Oracle ERP projects throughout Garmin's international IT Teams Departmental budgeting and resource planning Recruit, develop and retain a high performing team including conducting annual performance evaluations OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Accept and complete IT projects as assigned Research new processes and procedures to enhance software capabilities Prioritize projects with Garmin Business Units and allocate appropriate IT resources EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent 5+ years of continuous experience in Oracle Applications (11i) development within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent project management skills 3 plus years managing a high performance work team with responsibility for recruiting, disciplinary actions, terminations, and delivery of performance appraisals.
