Oracle Developmetn DBA PL/SQL, Perl, Data Manipulation
This Oracle focused data developer / DBA will be responsible for data centric software development along with data modeling & design, and development environment database administration support. Looking for a person who has both solid Oracle/UNIX development background as well as DBA skills on Oracle 10g. This position needs a senior candidate who is self motivated and follows through on the details.
Must have skills to succeed in this position:
Oracle 10g – all aspects of Oracle development, PL/SQL and Oracle database administration PERL scripting with DBD/DBI experience working with Oracle. UNIX scripting. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle including data analysis, data modeling and data testing to be able to write quality unit tests and assist the data validation processes. Great design, problem solving and thinking skills. Great written and verbal communication skills. This is a development / DBA position, and hence the individual will not be responsible for managing production or DR environments. The individual will not have to be on call for production support. Minimum 10 years of experience in software development arena.
Useful skills for this position:
Understanding of Unix system administration a plus in order to work with the SA assigned to this project. Experience in packaging and deploying software across environments (dev, QC, DR, production) highly desired. Data warehouse or reporting tool experience a plus. Degree in Computer Science preferred. PERL scripting with DBD/DBI experience working with Informix. Knowledge of test driven development and perl::test or PL/SQL unit test frameworks a plus.
