Oracle Developer / DBA

Our client has an opening for an Oracle Developer / DBA located in Washington, D.C.

 

This individual will be primarily responsible for designing and developing database solutions in Oracle PL/SQL, including but not limited to views, triggers, stored procedures and object types for accessing the database.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with the systems analysts to understand functional specifications and estimate work and design database solutionDevelop database procedures, views, and triggers and tune SQL queriesSupport data migrations efforts such as loading data, export/import data using Oracle utility toolsSome DBA activities like knowledge of data dictionary and DDL like create, alter database objects, and maintain database privileges

 

REQUIREMENTS: Strong experience in SQL skills to develop such as but not limited to, stored procedures, triggers, and packagesExperience with various versions of Oracle, specifically 8i to 9i migrations and 10g+.Knowledge and experience in using Oracle utility tools such as but not limited to, sql loader, oracle migration workbench.Aptitude to learn new technologies and support multiple systemsAbility to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and prioritize, time manage workload
