Duties:The selected candidate will be an essential part of our Oracle applications team, supporting existing implementations and new initiatives. Application areas include order processing and CRM associated systems (iStore, Order Management, Contracts, Inventory, BOM, Telesales, Advanced Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Reporting, Forecasting, etc.), as well as financial systems (GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, iProcurement, Cash Management, Project Accounting, Time & Labor, Fixed Assets).Duties will include user-facing production support, issues resolution, and Service Request (TAR) management. Duties will also include developing and maintaining custom applications, reports, interfaces, workflows, Discoverer reporting, and assisting with system upgrade activities. Individual will work independently as well as in a team environment.Technical Knowledge/Skills Desired in the Following Areas:Successful candidates will possess most or all of the following skill sets:' Functional design, technical design, and technical development experience.' Knowledge and experience doing development work using the Oracle JDeveloper and Forms toolsets. This includes reports, workflows, and PL/SQL, preferably in an Oracle applications environment. ' SQL language skills, including the ability to analyze complex statements embedded in the applications. ' Experience with JSP, Java, and OA Framework. ' Working knowledge of underlying Oracle applications table and schema structures.' Familiarity with Oracle Discoverer product. ' Practical understanding of Oracle applications modules, integration points among various modules, APIs, and how data flows. ' Experience in a Unix (Solaris) environment, including development of shell scripts. ' Superior analysis and problem solving skills, including the ability to extract system and business requirements from stakeholders at all levels, identify and communicate deliverables and gaps, develop user buy-in and support, provide documentation to facilitate on-going maintenance and user training efforts, and communicate project status in a non-technical fashion. ' Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ' Skill in communicating and negotiating in a team environment, yet able to work independently when required. ' Results oriented and flexible attitude in delivering creative solutions. ' Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently, while maintaining proper balance between projects to deliver according to overall priorities of the organization. ' Ability and desire to support and enhance implementation used by existing user base, as well as implement new features and functions. ' Ability to interact with users and team mates to understand complex business requirements and translate into practical technical designs and programs.Education and Experience: ' Graduation from a recognized college or university with a four-year degree in computer sciences, management information systems (MIS), or related technical field, or equivalent in working experience required. ' Experience in successfully supporting one or more Oracle 11i applications identified. ' Experience with Oracle Discoverer reporting tool and Oracle Workflow desired. ' Experience with data warehousing a plus.
