Reference Code: 11056 Online Editor Position Overview:The Online Editor will first and foremost be an outstanding copywriter with responsibility for the conception and execution of innovative, marketing copy for our Web site. In addition, you will be asked to write for email, online advertising, and direct response pieces on a periodic basis. The Online Editor will have the ability to create compelling headlines, smart, concise body copy and clear instructional copy. Additionally, the ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrated expertise in managing overall online content through the use of a content management system and possess a working knowledge of usability and user experience fundamentals. The Online Editor will be able to partner with global marketing managers, our in-house creative team, and external agencies to lead the writing and content creation efforts for our online presence. Innovative, business-focused creative thinking combined with a deep understanding of online writing and content creation are required. Proven track record of delivering results through search engine optimization techniques are also a must. In order ot potentially be considered as a viable candidate for the role, applicants should submit examples of or links to their online work when they apply.Primary responsibilities: Working with key stakeholders, research and write copy for online marketing campaigns including global Web site, email, online advertising, direct response pieces and other online writing that meets messaging requirements and overall marketing communications strategies. The end goal is to support increasing the number and quality of leads while minimizing marketing cost. Serve as search engine optimization (SEO) expert for business and continually research and implement effective SEO copywriting techniques including key word tools. Review/edit current Web site copy and create new copy for search engine optimization. Writing compelling copy while maintaining desired brand experience and messaging. Manage copywriting review process assuring that approved deliverables are available to meet implementation deadlines. Create and manage compelling Web pages and content through the use of the content management system. Be part of highly collaborative in-house creative team responsible for delivering compelling, effective communications consistent with desired brand experience. Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Education - BA in Communications or English preferred Experience - Minimum 5 years professional marketing copywriting experience including 3+ years of online copywriting and editorial experience. Agency experience and global copywriting experience preferred. Writing samples required. Online Copywriting and Content Creation Skills - Strong linguistics, marketing copywriting, and search engine optimization skills. Use of online copywriting/messaging/content creation best practices. Understanding of fundamental usability best practices. Technical Writing Skills - Ability to take sometimes complex technical information and distill it down into meaningful and pointed customer benefits. Project Management - Organized with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Integrated Marketing Communications - Experience in writing online marketing copy and content that supports integrated global marketing communications strategies, messaging and a consistent brand experience. Supports increasing marketing efficiency/productivity. Interpersonal Skills/Team Skills - Must be able to collaborate effectively with other global creative and marketing team members. We are looking for a quick learner that can multitask. Computer Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel. Understanding of content management fundamentals. Work Hours/Location - Initially position will be a full-time contract position with opportunity to become a full-time employee in future.
