Network Sales Engineer

Position Summary:

Qualified candidates will work with enterprise customers to shorten the sales cycle by overcoming technical hurdles within these accounts.  Netwrok Sales Engineers must have solid communication skills, sales ability, technical expertise, and work well in a team, or independently. They must be able to perform in a fast-paced working environment. Responsibilities Include:

Leveraging relationships within organizations to solve technical hurdles and foster awareness of our solution.  Act as primary technical / solution contact during sales cycle

 

Working with the Inside and Outside Sales Representatives on joint account calls, webinars and account planning



Deliver demos / technical presentation / facilitate solution discussions investigations



  Collaborate with customers to understand and document their business and technical requirements. 

 

  Listen to prospects using astute questioning to understand, anticipate and exceed their needs

 

Installing, configuring and testing our solution at customer's facilities during Proof of Concepts

 

Interfacing with various customers at both a business and a technical level and propose viable solutions in real time during customer meetings

 

Assisting with the development of our channel partners. This may include conducting joint account calls, updating their technical staff on new products and features, and working with them to develop solutions for customers

 

Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events  and participate in trade shows / marketing eventsRequired Skills:

Minimum of 5 years experience in a Software Vendor, Professional Services, IT Consulting or Systems Integration environment



    Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)



Professional presentation skills to all levels of an organization



    Requirements gathering and scoping

 

Ability to write including detailed emails, RFPs and Statements of Work



  Hands-on experience with multiple platforms:  OS (e.g., Linux, Solaris, Unix, Windows 2000/2003), networking (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, etc.), and data center applications and devices (e.g., Netbotz, UPC, etc.)

 

Self-starter that manages time and activities with little day-to-day guidance or interaction from management

 

  Excellent listening skills resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction. Must be able to listen for opportunities as well as potential technical hurdles.

  The ability to travel 25-50%. Will work from home and travel.

 

  Can live in anymajor central US city. Desired Skills:

  Examples certifications include; MCSE, CCEA, RedHat, Cisco, CCIE



Experience with the configuration and management of hardware, software, routers, switches, firewalls, etc

 

Compensation:

  Range $100K to 120K  DOE,  with bonus and full benefits package.
