We are actively recruiting for a Network Manager to join our Denver, CO Office. This position requires up to 30% annual travel based on business needs.Position Summary: The Network Manager will have responsibility for the enterprise network, employing appropriate monitoring and change control processes to ensure that it is stable, available, and meets the performance standards necessary to support current and future business needs. This person will lead a team of network engineers that support daily operations, providing direct management, hands-on assistance, mentoring, and training as necessary. The position will be responsible for working with IT management to create a long-term strategic network plan that aligns with and enables the long-term business plan for the company. This role will require strong project management skills, to translate the network strategic plan into actionable network project plans and manage the execution of these project plans in turn. The creation of proposals and cost-estimates, conduct of technical evaluations and recommendations, as well as summary budget forecasting are included. They will need both a depth of network technology understanding and a broad technology exposure, so that they can engineer solutions to integrate network infrastructure and business operations to the benefit of both, and work with resources across the organization to achieve this integration. The Network Manager will support technology initiatives by using cross-functional skills in delivering network support based on industry standards and best-practices.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Draft Enterprise LAN/WAN strategic plan and budget forecast.Create network project plans and manage these efforts to completion.Supervise daily maintenance of the network infrastructure.Manage a network team across multiple office locations.Mentor network team members in deploying new technologies.Strengthen network team infrastructure understanding and troubleshooting skills.Document engineering standards, network procedures, and project proposals.Evaluate vendor products and make purchasing recommendations.Collaborate on problem resolution with vendors, partners, and other technical staff.Participate in cross-functional groups to support technology initiatives outside of IT.Additional, Non-Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Position does require significant communication within the network team, the IT group, and the larger organization.Requires managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast paced environment. The job requirements will necessitate that from time to time the workload will exceed the standard working hours and the applicant must be willing to contribute to those situations. The position requires participation as an escalation point in the on-call support rotation. The environment is a professional workplace that requires a professional attitude. Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education/Certification/License/Training/Travel:Experience:10 years of network administration experience, including:10 years experience supporting Cisco routers, switches, security and VPN appliances.10 years experience supporting all relevant network protocols and applications: DNS, SNMP, etc.5 years experience creating network project plans and managing network projects.2 – 5 years experience creating annual or multi-year strategic network plans and budget forecasts.5 years experience working with vendors to engineer appropriate network service solutions.5 years experience leading a network administration team.Education/Certifications/Training:BS in Computer Science or equivalent; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement.Cisco CCIE or equivalent experience – highly desired.PMI certification or equivalent experience – highly desired.Travel:This position requires up to 30% annual travel based on business needs.Physical Conditions/Requirements:Position requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing. Uses vision to view screens, create and review documents; requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Capable of using a keyboard effectively.Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and may occasionally lift and move 40 pounds.May require the ability to drive a vehicle.This position is exempt.
