.NET Developer--Desktop applications, WPF a plus

Location: Austin, TX 78731 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Reference Code: 1001138293 Technisource is currently seeking a .NET Developer with strong experience programming desktop applications.  **Experience with using .NET for web development is not relevant to this position.**  **Database development experience is not relevant to this position**  Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:   At least 5 years of software development experience is required. At least 3 years of extensive experience with using the .NET framework to develop desktop applications of **significant complexity** is required. Familiarity with the principles of object-oriented design is required. Strong multithreaded programming experience. Strong desktop application development experience (using .NET). .NET experience 5+ years. TCP/IP Client-server Strong Object Oriented design skills. Strong analytical & debugging skills. Team focused (has worked with teams on same code base). Ability to mentor and help teammates. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to write design specs. Positive attitude towards assignments and co-workers. Works well with business partners (QA and business analysts). Experience working with MFC is a plus Experience working on distributed applications is a plus Experience using WCF is a plus. Experience with Agile methodology is a plus. MCSD or MCAD strongly preferred.  The candidate should be able to work well in a team environment, be willing to share their knowledge with others and assist them when needed, and be receptive to diverse opinions.  The candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
