Mobile Technology Division seeks Java Developers with Agile Experience Who????WDS Technology is a newly formed division of WDSGlobal based inKirkland, WA. We were formed to ‘productize’ our highly successfulmobile device management hosted platform(s) as well as build out somenew ideas that we hadn’t had time to develop! We are a young andgrowing team and look forward to adding more products to our portfolioover the next few years. Our company vision is to add value to everymobile transaction through the application of knowledge and expertisein the mobile experience. Today our systems touch more than 100 millionmobile devices annually!What positions are available?We are looking to add 2 developers.We are looking for individuals across the mid-to-senior range (that isin terms of industry experience!).What do you need to work here?We primarily develop in Java will a little bit of Ruby on Railsthrown in for luck. 3-5 years Java is a good minimum. After 6 years oftrying different agile approaches we use a hybrid Scrum/XP with astrong focus on incremental delivery, continuous integration, TDD andPairing. Experience with Maven, JUnit / JMock, CruiseControl and Antare strongly preferred. We are using JBoss as our server platform andmake extensive use of Spring Framework as well as Hibernate and Toplinkmapping onto Oracle and SQL Server databases.You do not need any Agile experience but if you don't you must be prepared to try new ways of working - if this is the first time you have heard the term then this is probably not for you....Our domain is Mobile – specifically configuration. Nice – but notrequired – would be any experience with OMA-CP, OMA-DM and WAP-Pushtechnologies as well as any experience working in the mobile industry.If you know how to write embedded apps on mobile devices that would bea great benefit – specifically Android, iPhone, Symbian and WindowsMobile.You will need very strong (and adaptable) OO design skills, andexperience writing and shipping software products is a definite plus(read version / release control, testing and even the dreadeddocumentation!). You will also be expected to see ‘beyond the code’ andget involved in talking to internal and external customers –translating their (sometimes cryptic) requirements into productfeatures!
