Medical Information Physician Editor
The Epocrates Medical Information Physician Editor edits and optimizes electronic clinical drug and disease reference information relied upon by a quarter of a million physicians at the point of care. Strong broad-based clinical skills, understanding of evidence-based medicine, and awareness of emerging medical advances will serve this candidate in selecting and shaping content to support physicians in caring for patients.
Strong editorial, written and verbal communication skills, medical technology assessment expertise, and facility with web-based and handheld technology are valuable assets. Expertise in business computer applications required; familiarity with structured electronic data management preferred. Previous demonstrated success in medical publishing for electronic or print media is highly desirable. Strong focus on detail and superb time-management skills are requisite.
This role requires significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, designers, and physician readers. The position is full-time on site at the San Mateo headquarters. Some travel may be required.
