SIMULIA, the Dassault Systèmes brand for Realistic Simulation, has openings for Mechanics Engineering Software Developers at its Providence, Rhode Island, headquarters. We are looking for talented, innovative software engineers who have a strong computational mechanics background to develop the Abaqus Finite Element suite of programs and other mechanics focused products that comprise the SIMULIA product suite. SIMULIA mechanics developers create and maintain the SIMULIA engineering mechanics codes. Their primary responsibilities will focus on areas such as: · Element technology· Advanced material modeling· Contact and constraint algorithms· Enhanced usability of new engineering workflows· Equation solvers· Algorithms for multi-physics applicaions· Code architecture for the SIMULIA mechanics software· Performance and parallelizationRequirements: · MSc or PhD degree in Engineering. · A strong background in computational mechanics.· Significant coding experience including course work and development of significant pieces of software.· Experience with software languages such as FORTRAN, C++, Python and other object oriented languages· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for this position.· Experience with commercial software packages such as Abaqus, NASTRAN, ANSYS, MARC, ADAMS, LS-DYNA, PAMCRASH, HyperMesh, IDEAS, SolidWorks, and/or PATRAN is considered valuable.
