Marketing/Sales Assistant

The Sales/Marketing Assistant will play a key role in the sales efforts of the company. Responsibilities will include researching government procurement websites for bidding opportunities, preparation of price quotations, and RFP responses. This position will also develop marketing material and/or marketing opportunities for venues such as trade shows. While reporting to the President/CEO the individual will interface with the field sales staff and be the liaison between sales and the CEO.  

 

The position may require some travel in the continental United States and Internationally.

 

Job Duties:

 Manage communication and coordination between the sales staff and the CEOAssist in the development of proposals, quotations and bid responses.Research procurement regulations and statutes in the various government agencies.Assist in developing marketing programs and material such as Power Point presentations.Track active sales opportunities with the sales staff.Assist in coordinating sales opportunities with the other internal departments.

·  Other duties that may be assigned by the President, including meetings and training.

 

Minimum Experience Requirements:

 

·  5-7 years in  a sales assistant / marketing role.

·  Knowledge of Windows, PowerPoint, sales tracking programs, graphic design programs

·  Strong understanding of solution selling and managing the sales cycle.

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·  Self-motivated with minimum supervision and able to motivate, coordinate and train.

·  Excellent Internet research skills.

·  Ability to show good judgment and demonstrate a leader image to the sales force. 

 

Minimum Educational Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred but experience is the key.
