Primary responsibilities include:Managing a small team of researchers driving the Value Proposition Initiative and Customer Research System Successfully partnering with people at all levels of the company Increasing the utilization of research for business decision-making Developing research standards and best practices for researchers and non-researchers The position is the leader of a small team, focused on developing insights for product development. The team is part of the Central Market Research & Insights group with 100+ people who provide the full range of market research for most of Microsoft’s products. Experience RequiredThe ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of industry experience in market research or engineering research. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to drive business action without direct control of outcomes. Strong written communication skills and presentation skills to medium and large audiences are important. Consultancy experience is also required as much of the candidate’s time will be spent advising others. Candidates must possess excellent strategic thinking, analytic, and conceptual thinking skills. Some travel will be required.
