At this time, we are actively recruiting a Market Development Manager to join the Lawson Learning Team.



 

Position Summary

The Market Development Manager will work with Lawson’s Services and Sales organizations and various sales channels to sell Lawson Learning’s complete portfolio of Learning products to new or existing customers in targeted markets.  In response to market conditions, the Market Development Manager will craft a value story to promote, package, price, and sell the Learning Portfolio to achieve sales targets. 

 

Position Focus

 

Sales (60%)

§  Implement programs to promote training, preparing and presenting proposals that meet the needs of new clients and developing and maintaining relationships with the sales force.

§  Promote the targeted sales of training products through direct indirect sales into the existing client base, including presenting proposals to meet the training needs of existing clients.

§  Qualify sales pursuits.

 

Proposals (30%)

§  Prepare and present training proposals that feed the sales pipeline

§  Provide pricing and terms/conditions that help prepare contractual documents

 

Reporting (10%)

§  Complete weekly call/expense reports, monthly forecasts, and all other activities directed by management.

§  Maintain all required information in sales, pipeline, and proposal systems on continual basis

 

Minimum Qualifications

§  Bachelor degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience

§  3 or more years management experience or equivalent project/program leader experience

§  3 or more years training program administration

§  2 or more years of direct sales or marketing experience, preferably in training related field

§  Proven success record of marketing and selling blended learning training solutions to diverse audiences.

§  Ability to build effective working relationships with key departments who impact performance objectives

§  Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills

§  Aptitude to learn new technologies and identify their impact on business

 

Preferred Qualifications:

§  Experience in ERP industry

§  Previous software vendor experience

§  Experience developing and delivering software training programs

§  Knowledge of Lawson applications

§  Software application consulting experience

§  Ability to perform regional, national and International overnight travel (20 – 40%).
