Marine I&C Engineer
Job Description:
Perform a variety of tasks in the design, modification, and analysis of Ship Machinery Control Systems. Some of your responsibilities will include systems engineering; software requirement development; software design documents; development of control philosophies; write control narratives; develop Microsoft Access Databases; HMI development; PLC system programming; land based testing; support shipboard verification and validation and support sea trials. In addition, some travel may be required to visit shipyards and support installation and start-up activities on board ships at remote Naval Ship Yards and Coast Guard Ship Yards.Â
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in the design, development and integration of control systems. Experience in Marine Machinery Plant Control Systems a plus such as propulsion, electrical distribution and damage control. Must have experience with Allen Bradley control Logix system hardware and control philosophy. Experience with Microsoft Access and C++ are preferred. Must have experience with object oriented software design and development. Experience with serving as Company/Client liaison in a lead controls engineering role. BSME or BSEE required.
