Manufacturing Business Analyst
The CIBER Rochester office is currently searching for a Manufacturing Business Analyst. This analyst reports directly to a project manager and will maintain effective communication with our client's manufacturing team; work closely with client to resolve problems, answer questions, document current and future state and provide solutions.The candidate will also assist in formulating systems to parallel overall business strategies, and define user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify applications.They will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals using excellent analytical and problem solving skillsQualifications: 15+ years experience with IS-related projects, minimum 5 years supporting Mfg business processes 5+ years experience working with end users to influence/recommend/design/define/document business requirements and processes 5+ years experience working with IS staff to translate business requirements into systems specifications 5+ years experience with project management, multiple simultaneous projects, managing project plans/schedules, risks/issues, change control, status meeting/reporting, and communications 5+ years working in an environment of complex business systems integration components, both COTS and home-grown, within some or all of the following environments: Unix, NT, relational DB (Oracle, SQL Server), and web 5+ years hands-on experience working in all stages of systems life cycle development: concept and business case, COTS evaluations and make/buy recommendations, requirements, design, development, testing, training, implementation, maintenancePreferred Additional Skills:The position requires a good grasp of Manufacturing processes, must be able to turn requests into requirements, and assist with delivering a technical solution to meet the requirements.Demonstrated leader in IS, influencing the appropriate application of business systems and processes to meet business requirements, working with IS and business to manage changing priorities with work requests/projectsExperience with outsourced delivery of IS projects/developments (working with contractors and consultants) a plusSuccessful candidates will meet all of the position requirements and have a passion for its responsibilities.
