Title: Manager of Brand Communications #65533 Location: San Francisco, CA POSITION SUMMARY Plays a strategic role in the Corporate Communications organization to help define, protect, and build the Autodesk brand. Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of Autodesk naming, interfacing with stakeholders across the company as the owner of this critical brand component. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Act as ambassador and steward for the Autodesk brand, supporting the Brand Communications function in defining and evangelizing the brand Play a lead role in defining and maintaining the Autodesk brand architecture Own and promote the company naming strategy, including naming architecture, style, and conventions Maintain and evangelize company naming guidelines Own naming process, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness in naming projects Manage all naming projects, including internal and external approval cycles with key stakeholders Work with internal business partners to determine naming needs and formal recommendations Coordinate with legal department to ensure trademark protection and compliance Liaise with research manager for name testing and research Monitor and analyze competitive naming DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION 8+ years in a marketing communications environment, including high-tech business experience within a global organization 5+ years naming experience, including naming strategy, creative execution, and project management; preferably both client-side and agency-side Deep understanding of corporate branding and product positioning Proven program/project management skills Superior written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Autodesk industries and products Minimum Bachelor's degree (marketing, communications, or related field) PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Excitement and enthusiasm for branding concepts Sharp analytical/systems thinking and attention to detail Superior ability to juggle multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders Thrive in a fast-paced environment High degree of diplomacy with superior interpersonal skills Ability to influence at different levels of the organization Autodesk provides one of the most exceptional compensation and benefit packages, including stock options for all employees, 401k matching, six week sabbatical after four years of employment, domestic partner policy, on going employee training and development, flexible work hours and more!
