Manager, Digital Revenue

Summary:The Manager, Digital Revenue works in an 8 person Digital Accounting Department and is the accounting business process owner for the NetSuite order entry, revenue, and billing system, responsible for such tasks as coordinating system improvements and incorporating new product development. The Manager, Digital Revenue will have significant operations exposure, and will work with their staff and other departments to maintain and improve Digital revenue and billing processes worldwide.   Key Responsibilities: Serve as accounting business process owner for the NetSuite order entry, revenue, and billing system, including coordinating system improvements and new product development. Maintain and improve Digital revenue and billing processes. Ensure the proper revenue recognition in accordance with the revenue policy and US generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) including, but not limited to software, licenses, and multi-element arrangements. Maintain the revenue recognition policies for Digital Iron Mountain and guidelines for reviewing contracts for revenue recognition. Proactively build relationships with sales and contract management personnel to establish strong lines of communication and documentation flow. Perform technical accounting research regarding revenue recognition and write memo’s documenting conclusions and proper accounting treatment as required. Review and analyze Digital Iron Mountainbad debt reserves, credit memo reserves, and any other revenue related reserve requirements and reconciliations and adjust as necessary. Participate in the balance sheet review process. Proactively identify, assess and implement preventative controls and process improvements. Supervise activities and development of assigned staff.Must Have: 7+ years of experience in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) including, but not limited to knowledge of revenue recognition issues in general and software and high-tech revenue recognition specifically (SAB 104 and SOP 97-2). Proficient spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) skills. Ability to analyze problems, actively strategize to resolve such problems, have good attention to detail, solid organization skills. This position may require infrequent travel to our centralized accounting services center located in Collegeville, PA.Education: Undergraduate/graduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
