Job Summary:

Will support existing development, test, and production MQ Series, WMQI, and WMQ workflow environments as well as assisting in the design, building and configuration of new environments and applications to support current and new projects. This position will be responding to monitoring alerts/warnings for MQ Series queues, queue managers, channels.

 

Responsiblities: Restarting or repairing queues, queue managers, channels, triggers, clusters etc. Be able to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for incidents and problems experienced, as well as document problems, resolutions, and recommend course for preventative action. Work effectively with application developers to design, setup maintain, and troubleshoot communications on the various platforms stated above to support current and new projects.

 

Qualifications:5+ Years of MQSeries experience required. Prior IMS/CICS systems programming experience required. A track record of success WMQI installations & Configurations.Good verbal and written communication skills Must be able to build, maintain and update documentation of new and existing environments, work being performed, and problem/incident management processes being used. Must have working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Mainframe environments, Unix (AIX, HP-UX), and MS Windows NT 4.x, 2000. Will need to take on additional responsibilities and work as needed and defined by management.BMC Patrol and scripting experience desired.

 

Additional Information:

This is contract position with the option of telecommuting available.
