MEA Organizational Development Director
Job Title: MEA Organizational Development Director
Location: Dubai-UAE
MEA Organizational Development Director is responsible for supporting the MEA People agenda in partnership with the MEA VP and HR Director. MEA is a high growth multi country area with subsidiaries ranging from early to medium maturity. Key focus on the role would be to build and manage talent and organization capability infrastructure that supports the growth agenda of the region. The role offers a challenging opportunity to drive change and build organization capacity to support the business in tapping into the immense potential of the market.
Key priorities of the role would be Leadership Development, Talent Management, Change & Organization Development and Learning strategy. The Organizational Development Director will lead a team of people in driving the organization capability agenda at the MEA area level and also cater to specific organization developments needs of MEA subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with MEA HR Director in formulating and implementing the MEA People plan in alignment with the business priorities for the short, medium and long term.
• Lead the Organizational Development team to effectively delivery on OD commitments in the region – set team goals and priorities, team rhythm, resource management and team management
• Support the VP in driving development plan for VP direct reports in the area
• Provide coaching and guidance to the MEA HR Leads in building organization capability
• Help drive specific change and organization development initiatives within individual businesses and across the area (org restructuring, designing and facilitating strategic planning processes, organization and leadership team development)
• Refine and run talent management processes, including succession planning, talent movement, workforce planning and leadership capability planning
• Lead specific MEA wide initiative(s) (e.g., Manage Capability, Leadership Development, World Class Selling)
• Partner with corporate groups in HR to effectively land global people initiatives in MEA and represent MEA thinking effectively in the company
• Drive culture building initiatives aligned with business objective and organization health diagnostics
• Support design and implementation of the rhythm for Leadership and Extended Leadership meeting including design of key leadership offsite
• Leadership, Management and Employee Development – In collaboration with corporate groups, define and implement the strategy and programs needed to successfully develop employees in the area
Requirements:
• Experience engaging with and influencing senior leaders
• Deep knowledge of principles of organization design and development
• Excellent communication skills, people acumen, cross-group collaboration, interpersonal skills, customer focus, and the passion for people development and learning
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking are critical success factors for this role
• Strong coaching, facilitation and presentation skills are essential requirements
• Ability to influence others without direct position power
• Position will require well developed and experienced consultative approach
• Strong people management skills and remote management
• Organizational Agility and the ability to read the subtle nuances of a situation and react/plan accordingly
• 10-12 years of experience in organizational development, change management or related disciplines
• Advanced degree in human resource related field preferred, (e.g. Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related discipline).
- Additional business education (MBA) or Six Sigma expertise a plus.
• Experience working in a regional/multi country set up will be an advantage
• This position will require extensive travel
